I originally blogged about "How Long Will I Love You" The EMBRZ remix, last December. I wanted to highlight it again because not enough people grabbed a hold of it. It's such an outpouring of emotion This track speaks for itself with a breathtaking remix. I'm a big Goulding fan, but the original is so-so. This elevates a mediocre track to a new level. I'm in love with her voice and the nature of the song. Pure comfort, tt's been pretty constant repeat over this way. Take a listen.
Oh Childish Gambino where have you been?! This track is rare in that has fast rhymes & insightful words aren't laid out here. Trading in for a more somber tone "Sober" is a heartfelt breakup track. My go to after a bad relationship was "Heartbeat" but that track is laden with the torment of lovers who are constantly hurting one another. This is admitting defeat and giving up with beautiful melodic chords. Reaching for your lover and pursuing. God Damn music is a savior. Cheers out there, enjoy the listen.
Hozier "Someone New"
I first found this guy with his song "Take Me To Church," a passion filled track about a lover being his "religion." Here is pretty different. I don't think I need to spell this track out. Hozier is covered in sex appeal with his soulful voice, & smart lyrics. I love the original sound he carries.
Bad Rabbits "Better Days"
These guys define funk & fun. Their tracks carry so much soul and expression it's hard to sit still and not smile while jamming out. If you dig this check out their favorite of mine "Can't Fool Me" Unbelievable. I'm so happy to hear they've released this new track. Grab on to Bad Rabbits if you haven't heard them yet. You can go tell your friends you discovered them yourself ;)
Of Monsters & Men's track "Love Love Love"
Beautiful handling of the recognition of a one sided love affair. Any track thats honest and truly shows life's many shades of gray always strikes a chord to me. It's not a new track, but one that is worth a few spins. Enjoy the listen
